Information Technology Diploma
The Diploma in Information Technology Program was approved in the year 2015 replacing the old Information Technology Program, which was granted by the faculty. The detailed curricula of the Bachelor Honors in Information Technology Program and description of the courses is given in appendix 5.
Program Objectives
This program aims to graduate qualified students to fill the gap for intermediate cadres, needed by the country in computer applications and information technology.
To fulfill this objective the study plan is set to qualify and train students in the following technological fields:
- Database systems.
- Programming Concepts
- Design and management of networks and websites.
The plan also aims at graduating students who are capable of self education, personal and professional growth and team work.
Awarded Degree
The program of study awards Diploma degree in information technology after successful completion of the approved study program which comprises 126 credit hours to be completed in three academic years (6 semesters at least).
Admission Requirements
Students are admitted according to the conditions specified by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and/or any other conditions required by the faculty.
Job Opportunities
Employment opportunities for the graduates of this program are wide and available in various areas e.g. computer maintenance centers, programming houses, firms, banks, computerized private sector institutions, internet services management companies etc.
